You are not Spiritually Evolved Because You Want to Be Alone
I recently read an article on how truly spiritual people do not relate to this world and are inherently happier alone. I have spiritual friends and teachers who are obsessed with not reincarnating. One of them told me the thought of coming back again is exhausting. This is all ok. But I don’t feel this way. And if you choose to, you don’t have to, either.
Another friend and teacher told me that bliss is where grief and joy meet to make love. This I can get on board with. We cannot know bliss until we understand nonbliss. Being One with the Universe is lovely, but the Oneness of the Universe decided it was inherently complete with that experience and exploded into infinite images of itself in order to experience itself on a whole new level.
I trust the Universe.
Maybe it is uncomfortable. Humans are complicated. Life is full of ups and downs. Pain happens. You might be on your spiritual path and evolving just fine, thank you. Then, that pesky relationship doesn’t go the way you were attached to it manifesting, a parking ticket appears, your mom says something triggering; in other words, life happens.
